Australian singer Sia has sold half of her music rights to Pophouse Entertainment, the Swedish company linked to ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, Nieuws.nl reports. Citing The Hollywood Reporter, it says Sia stands to receive $180m. Her likeness rights were not sold. Which music rights the half-share covers remains unclear. [1]
Pophouse staged ABBA Voyage in London, featuring digital versions of the group, and is planning a show featuring digital versions of KISS. Nieuws.nl says an unnamed source cited by The Hollywood Reporter suggested Sia may want to stage shows using her songs and voice. [1]
