Jannik Sinner will miss next week’s Shanghai Masters after also pulling out of a planned return in Beijing.

Sinner said his right knee was still troubling him. “My knee is not where I would like it to be, and I’m not ready to compete yet,” he said in a message on X reported by AFP. He added that he would do everything possible to return as soon as he could. [2]
The China Open begins on Wednesday 30 September. Sinner won the Beijing title last year, beating American Learner Tien in the final. [1]
