Flights have resumed at the Sicilian airport after the Etna alert was lowered from red to orange, its operator says.

Catania airport in Sicily has suspended arriving and departing flights until noon on Sunday, 27 September, amid volcanic activity at Mount Etna and weather conditions, ANP reported on Saturday. [1]
A KLM flight scheduled to leave Amsterdam for Catania at 13.20 on Saturday was listed as cancelled on Schiphol’s website. A flight from Catania to Amsterdam scheduled for Saturday evening was also cancelled. [1]
