Dutch author Heleen van Royen appeared on Amsterdam’s De Wallen on Tuesday to present her new book, Wat wil de man. The book concerns the world of adult content; Van Royen spoke with men of different ages about their desires for it, Nieuws.nl reported. [1]
Van Royen told RTL Boulevard that the location suited a book about sexuality and connection. Amsterdam is her birthplace, she said, and she wanted to experience De Wallen, where she sees sex and money coming together. Visitors could buy a copy, meet her and take a photograph with her, she added. [1]
Van Royen also expressed respect for women who earn money through sex, suggesting that their work might help prevent harm. [1]
