Gert Verhulst, a co-founder of entertainment company Studio 100, says selling his stake is not under consideration now, though he regards a future sale as a realistic possibility. He made the comments in an interview with De Telegraaf, as reported by Nieuws.nl on 3 October. [1]
Verhulst said he might otherwise consider passing his stake to his children, Viktor and Marie, but believes that would be complicated because Studio 100 has other shareholders. He founded the company in 1996 with Hans Bourlon and Danny Verbiest. Its businesses include K3, Kabouter Plop and Samson, as well as the Plopsa theme parks. [1]
Verhulst also said he had spoken several times with John de Mol about possible collaboration. He did not rule out working together in future, but said neither was currently set to take over the other’s business. [1]
