Rooke discussed the project in an interview with BBC Sounds’ *Sidetracked* podcast, as reported by Dark Horizons and Omelete. He described it as a comedy-drama that would go beyond a conventional music biopic, and said he had written a script with a group of collaborators. [1][2]
What happens next is unclear. Rooke said he did not know where the project would go, though he hoped people might get to watch it one day. [1]
Rooke said the Spice Girls had been the first time he saw working-class women showing ambition in British pop culture, explaining why their story appealed to him. [1]
