ABN AMRO has cut its forecast for Dutch house-price growth in 2027 from 4% to 2.5%. The bank expects higher mortgage rates to cool the market, with its revised forecast allowing for two further interest-rate increases by the European Central Bank, ANP reported. [1]
For 2026, the bank raised its growth forecast from 3% to 3.8%, largely reflecting price rises in the first half of the year. Its researchers expect prices to remain steady or dip slightly in the remaining months. ABN AMRO also forecasts a 5.5% fall in housing transactions in 2027, rather than the 4% decline it previously expected. [1]
ING also lowered some of its housing-market expectations earlier this week. Like ABN AMRO, it does not expect an overall fall in house prices for the time being, ANP reported. [1]
