Celebrity Traitors’ familiar faces bring old connections into the game

James Acaster has been recruited as a traitor in *The Celebrity Traitors*, while Amol Rajan has become the first player to be “murdered”. Rajan’s exit and Acaster’s new role come as several contestants enter the game with friendships or working relationships already in place. [1]

Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are friends and have worked together on *Rob & Romesh Vs*. Before the series, Ranganathan said their friendship would not mean he could trust Beckett in the game. Joe Lycett has also described Acaster as a friend; the pair have worked together on *Travel Man*. [1]

Jerry Hall said in the opening episode that she had known her neighbour Richard E Grant for 30 years. She did not believe he was a traitor, although he is one. Bella Ramsey and Sebastian Croft both appeared in the sixth season of *Game of Thrones*, and Croft said Ramsey was among the few contestants he knew before joining the show. [1]
