The man, who was 87 when he was arrested in December 2025 as part of a review of evidence, is no longer under investigation, South Wales Police said. [1]
Harry and Megan Tooze were found dead with shotgun wounds in a cow shed at their farm in Llanharry, south Wales, on 26 July 1993. Jonathan Jones, their daughter’s boyfriend, was convicted of their murders and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1995, but was freed on appeal a year later. [1]
Police said their forensic review would continue. Detective Superintendent Mark O’Shea said the force remained committed to solving the murders and urged anyone with information to come forward. [1]
