Javon Walton, known for playing Ashtray in *Euphoria*, was scheduled to headline a Misfits Boxing event against Henry Cejudo in Miami on Saturday, 26 September 2026. The Florida State Commission sanctioned the bout to count towards their professional records. Walton accepted the fight with less than two weeks’ notice after Cejudo’s original opponent withdrew. [1]
Walton, 20, had three professional wins and a draw going into the bout, after 85 amateur fights and two silver medals at the Junior Olympics. Cejudo, 39, won Olympic freestyle wrestling gold in 2008 and later became a UFC champion in two weight divisions. The Miami bout was scheduled to be his professional boxing debut. [1]
Walton’s acting break followed an appearance on Steve Harvey’s television show when he was 11, demonstrating boxing and gymnastics. Casting director Jennifer Venditti saw him and contacted his family about an audition for *Euphoria*. Walton has also appeared in *Utopia*, *The Umbrella Academy* and *Samaritan*. [1]
Walton told BBC Sport that filming can take him away for six months, while preparing for a fight demands an eight-week camp. He hopes to pursue both careers but said focusing on acting and boxing at the same time is difficult. [1]
