Lang replaced Ruben van Bommel midway through the second half and, according to the ANP match report published by Nieuws.nl, repeatedly threatened from the left as the Netherlands recovered from a two-goal deficit. [1]
Speaking after the match, Lang said he felt his development had stalled over the past year. He was pleased to have taken his chance from the bench, but pointed out that he had neither scored nor provided an assist. [1]
Lang has not been a regular starter for Napoli and has so far been used as a substitute for the Netherlands under Xavi. He said he was hungry to regain the form people had come to expect from him. [1]
