Three MEPs from the Greens and the Left Group called on 30 September for asylum seekers still in Ceuta to be moved to mainland Spain as quickly as possible. Speaking after a visit to the Spanish enclave, they said a transfer was needed to end what they described as a humanitarian crisis and argued that political will was lacking, including at the European Commission.
