An alliance of 14 trade unions and welfare organisations made the call in a joint appeal over the weekend. It focused its criticism on the government’s plans for long-term care, Nieuws.nl reported, crediting ANP and DPA. [1]
The German cabinet approved reform legislation on Wednesday, but the proposals still need parliamentary approval. They include spreading nursing-home residents’ own contributions over a longer period and tightening the classification of people into care grades. The report describes the latter measure as a cut.
