Ed Sheeran’s Friday and Saturday concerts at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, have been cancelled because of severe weather warnings, with refunds available to ticket holders. The two shows near Boston were part of his US tour. [1]
In a statement quoted by BBC News, the venue said the promoter and tour had made the decision after consulting local officials. It cited severe weather warnings across Boston and New England throughout the weekend, saying the safety of fans, staff and everyone involved in the shows was the priority. [1]
High-wind warnings were in force in the area until the early hours of Sunday, and officials had advised drivers to minimise travel. [1]
The venue said refunds were available at the point of purchase. Fans who bought their tickets through Ticketmaster will be refunded automatically. [1]
