Netherlands name Koopmeiners at centre-back against Serbia

Teun Koopmeiners has been named alongside captain Virgil van Dijk in central defence for the Netherlands’ Nations League home match against Serbia, according to a pre-match lineup reported by ANP. Jurriën Timber is on the bench at Eindhoven’s Philips Stadion after starting Thursday’s 2-2 draw away to Greece. [1]

Coach Xavi Hernández has made three other changes. Quinten Timber, Guus Til and Ruben van Bommel have lost their starting places to Tijjani Reijnders, Ryan Gravenberch and Noa Lang. The three incoming players all came on at half-time against Greece. [1]

The reported starting XI is Verbruggen; Dumfries, Van Dijk, Koopmeiners and Van de Ven; Gravenberch, Veerman and Reijnders; Summerville, Meerdink and Lang. [1]
