The company behind the proposed global rugby series faces dissolution over overdue accounts. It blames an error by its accountants and says its planned 2028 launch remains on track.

AOTG Sport, the company behind the proposed global rugby series R360, has been given two months to submit overdue accounts or face dissolution, BBC Sport reported on 25 September. [1]
The accounts were due at Companies House in July 2026 and cover a period ending in December 2025. AOTG blamed the delay on an error by its accountants and said it would be resolved early the following week. The company maintained that the series remained on track to launch in 2028. [1]
R360 has already postponed its inaugural edition from October 2026 to 2028. Its proposed format is a five-month, Formula One-style circuit of events in major cities around the world, involving eight men's teams and four women's teams. [1]
Organisers claimed to have signed contracts with close to 200 men's players, but scheduling clashes with existing international tournaments had proved difficult to resolve. [1]
World Rugby approval had not been forthcoming without a guarantee that players would be released for the international Test window. England, Ireland and Scotland were among the national teams to announce blanket selection bans for players signing up to R360. [1]
