Sif, the Dutch maker of foundations for offshore wind turbines, says it has yet to resolve its financial problems and faces “material uncertainty” over whether it can continue operating for the next 12 months, despite solid performance in the latest quarter.
The company said on Friday it was still discussing short-term financing with banks, the Dutch government and its largest shareholders. It is also examining strategic options and talking to several other parties.
Sif kept its forecast, lowered in June, for profit of €95 million this year. The company, which produces in Roermond and on Rotterdam’s Maasvlakte, warned last summer that the offshore wind industry was in its deepest crisis since it began about 25 years ago.
