GPBeat reports that the FIA will conduct a full review with Formula 1 teams and power-unit manufacturers after power losses disrupted the start procedure for the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

Rain had already delayed the start when the field went out for two formation laps. Several cars then slowed sharply or stopped, and race control suspended the sequence under red flags. The FIA attributed the losses to low engine speed, limited grip, wet-weather energy-management settings and Sepang’s sector layout. During the delay, it removed the energy-limit constraint in affected sectors through a software update distributed to competitors so teams could adjust their power units before the start. The race resumed without similar trouble. Nikolas Tombazis apologised to fans and said a software bug had prevented power from being redeployed. [1]
