The August rise was the largest reported so far this year, with machinery and transport equipment among the goods exported in greater quantities.

Dutch goods exports rose by nearly 5% in August from a year earlier, according to figures from the statistics office CBS reported by ANP. It was the largest increase so far this year, following growth of 2.3% in July. [1]
Companies exported more machinery and transport equipment in particular. Goods make up about three-quarters of total Dutch exports. Imports of goods also rose in August, up 2% year on year, with more machinery and electrical equipment brought into the country. [1]
ANP reports that CBS assessed conditions for exporters in October as more favourable than in August, mainly because producer confidence in Germany and the eurozone was less negative. That assessment is not a measure of October exports. [1]
