Suzanne Schulting plans to focus on long-track skating for the coming months, leaving short-track racing out of her early-season schedule for now.

Speaking at a Team Essent presentation in Den Bosch on 6 October, Schulting said she would not race in short-track for now during the first part of the new skating season. The 29-year-old, who competes in both disciplines, plans to concentrate on long-track skating over the coming months. [1]
Schulting said the crowded calendar left little room for short-track racing alongside her long-track commitments. She described the decision as difficult and said that, if she returned to short-track, she wanted to do more than race in a single World Cup event. [1]
Schulting competed in both disciplines at the Olympics last season, then won the Dutch long-track sprint title and finished second to Femke Kok at the world sprint championships. She has not given a date for a possible return to short-track racing. [1]
