Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro’s lead over incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has narrowed to two percentage points, according to a new Datafolha poll cited by ANP/Reuters. It put Bolsonaro on 47% and Lula on 45%, compared with 49% and 45%, respectively, in a poll the previous week. [1]
The poll found that 6% of respondents intended to cast a blank ballot, while 2% had not yet decided.
The candidates are due to face each other in a run-off on 25 October. The report says Bolsonaro won the first round on 4 October but did not secure the 50% needed to win outright. [1]
