Ahold Delhaize expects the cyberattack that disrupted its shops and distribution centres last month to cut fourth-quarter revenue by €200 million to €250 million, with operating profit forecast to be €75 million to €100 million lower, the company said on Wednesday.
The attack affected Albert Heijn and other retail chains owned by the group. Ahold Delhaize took some systems offline as a precaution, leaving several chains’ websites and apps unavailable for days. Multiple distribution centres also stopped operating, and shops faced empty shelves.
