Isack Hadjar says he fractured his wrist when he struck a punching bag awkwardly during a gym session without wrapping his hands. RacingNews365 Nederland relayed his account from an interview with Tom Clarkson on *Beyond the Grid*. The injury kept him out of the Dutch, Italian and Spanish Grands Prix. [1]
Hadjar said he had hoped to return at Monza, but a simulator session showed him that his wrist still lacked strength and mobility. He then targeted the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku for his comeback. [1]
Hadjar returned in Baku six weeks after the injury and finished on the podium, his second of the season. [1]
