Derek Chisora says he expects to fight Murat Gassiev in December, but no venue has been settled for the proposed bout. Speaking at an IBA-hosted news conference on Tuesday, the 42-year-old Briton said London and Manchester were under consideration. [1]
Chisora lost to Deontay Wilder in April in a fight billed as his 50th and final contest. He said he had never announced his retirement and that the farewell billing came from the organisers. [1]
Chisora said he believed two belts would be at stake, including an IBA belt and one held by Gassiev. The titles have not been confirmed: BBC Sport reported that Gassiev was unsure whether he remained WBA world champion. [1]
