Alan Permane has signed a new deal to remain team principal of Racing Bulls until the end of 2031, the Formula 1 team says. The extension keeps the 59-year-old Briton in charge of Red Bull’s sister team, where he has held the role since 2025.
Racing Bulls finished sixth in last year’s constructors’ championship. This season, its drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad are competing for fifth place, according to the report.
Red Bull managing director Oliver Mintzlaff praised Permane’s work, saying the team’s progress was a direct result of his experience, commitment and competitive approach.
The extension does not settle Racing Bulls’ driver line-up for 2027. The team has yet to announce its drivers. Permane has previously said Lawson and Lindblad are in contention, alongside Bulgarian junior Nikola Tsolov.
