Jan Paul van Hecke scored as Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the Premier League, extending the London club’s winning run to three league matches and lifting them to eighth in the table, ANP reported via Nieuws.nl.
The Dutch defender struck with about 20 minutes left, turning in a curling cross from close range. Archie Gray had opened the scoring. Van Hecke’s compatriot Micky van de Ven also played for Tottenham, while Crystal Palace were without Quinten Timber, who was injured.
Tottenham had moved clear of the Premier League’s lower places after the three consecutive wins.
