PSV head coach Peter Bosz said he was not worried about his side’s form before next week’s Champions League match against Porto, despite a 2-1 defeat away to ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie. PSV had led 1-0 before going down to ten men, Bosz told ESPN after the match. [1]
Bosz said the team’s performance might have looked different had he been standing on the touchline, adding: “But I’m in the driving seat.”
PSV striker Sven Mijnans was sent off in the first half after receiving a second yellow card for a late tackle. Bosz called it “a stupid second yellow card”, while saying he did not want to speak in terms of blame. Mijnans will miss Sunday’s league match against leaders Feyenoord through suspension.
Bosz said he could not yet assess the seriousness of midfielder Guus Til’s injury. Til came off after landing awkwardly following an aerial challenge. “I’ve just spoken to him briefly. We’ll have to see,” Bosz said. [1]
