The court rejected most of the producers’ claim over *The Deb*, but found Wilson had been involved in a malicious website. The A$359,000 award is for unpaid fees owed to her company, not personal damages.

The Supreme Court of New South Wales dismissed most of a lawsuit brought by UK production firm AI Film over Wilson’s social media posts and a website about people connected with *The Deb*. AI Film had sought $15 million, arguing that her conduct had damaged the film’s profitability, according to ABC News.
Justice Elisabeth Peden found that Wilson had asked for a malicious website to be created, ABC reported. But AI Film had not proved that the website caused it financial loss. A company connected to AI Film received A$10 in nominal damages for technical breaches of a social media contract.
That company was also ordered to pay A$359,000 to Wilson’s company, Camp Sugar, for unpaid producer fees. The payment is a contractual debt owed to her company, not a personal damages award to Wilson. ABC also reported an order for her legal costs.
The ruling does not decide every dispute arising from the film. ABC reported that actor Charlotte MacInnes has appealed her loss in a separate defamation case against Wilson, while producers are also suing Wilson for defamation in California.
