U2’s forthcoming album Carnaval De Luz will include a song about Spanish singer ROSALÍA, frontman Bono said in a Rolling Stone interview reported by Nieuws.nl on 28 September. Called The Mirror Maker (Rosalía), the track is a tribute to an artist Bono considers extraordinary. [1]
The song first took shape in 2017 and has since undergone changes to its title, music and lyrics. Bono also cited ROSALÍA’s 2025 album LUX as an inspiration. [1]
Bono said he asked ROSALÍA for permission to use her name in the title and that she was enthusiastic. Carnaval De Luz is scheduled for release on 13 November and would be U2’s first studio album since 2017’s Songs of Experience. [1]
