Albert Heijn expects to restore grocery deliveries to full capacity from Wednesday, after its service was disrupted for almost two weeks by a cybersecurity incident. Delivery capacity is currently about a third of normal, the supermarket chain said in an ANP report published by Nieuws.nl.
Drivers returned to the road on Friday morning. From Wednesday, customers with a delivery subscription are expected to be able to use their regular delivery slot again, while the range of products and available time slots will be expanded in the coming days.
Albert Heijn said customers whose orders were cancelled after the incident would receive compensation through different arrangements. It also warned that people calling customer services may face longer waits because the service was temporarily unavailable.
