Much of the Netherlands could see temperatures above 25°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Limburg nearing 30°C, according to a Weeronline forecast reported by ANP. The weather service says temperatures are usually around 17°C at this time of year. [1]
Summer-like warmth is expected to begin in Limburg on Monday, 28 September, before spreading across the country. Weeronline says southerly winds will bring warm air from southern Europe. It also says climate change plays an important role, and that a similar weather pattern would probably have produced lower temperatures in the past. [1]
Showers are forecast for Wednesday evening, with possible thunderstorms around midweek. Temperatures are then expected to fall slightly. [1]
