Roxeanne Hazes says playing characters in her forthcoming theatre tour will take her beyond her comfort zone.

Roxeanne Hazes is rehearsing for *Met heimwee*, a theatre production due to be seen from late October in which she plans to play characters. The Dutch singer and presenter said the acting takes her far outside her comfort zone because she is not an actress. She made the remarks to ANP before the Buma NL Awards at Tilburg’s 013 venue on 28 September, as reported by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Hazes said she was learning the material and working with a director to prepare for the show. She also said she was looking forward to it. [1]
Hazes sees the tour as a possible step towards a musical role, something she said she would still like to do. Earlier this year, she appeared on *Stars on Stage*, a television programme in which celebrities train for musical theatre. [1]
