The BBC expects Carlos Baleba to make his Manchester United debut against Tottenham. It also says United may have to wait until after the international break for his first appearance. United knew Baleba had an ankle injury when they signed the Cameroon midfielder from Brighton on 25 August, the BBC reports. He was named on the bench for the 1–1 draw at Fulham on 20 September. At £70m, he was the club’s most expensive of three major summer signings, according to the BBC. [1]
United are preparing to host Tottenham. They were 12th in the Premier League at the time of the BBC’s report, with one win and five points from their opening five matches. Brighton had also knocked them out of the EFL Cup after coming back from 2–0 down at Old Trafford. Tottenham’s visit is followed by three consecutive away trips. [1]
