The musical drama is set to return on Hulu and Disney+, but a release date and returning cast have not been announced.

Disney and Hulu have announced that *Glee* is set to return, with co-creator Ryan Murphy saying he has written a reboot script with collaborators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. The announcement does not identify a release date or confirm which original cast members will appear. [1]
The musical comedy-drama followed members of a high-school choir in Ohio. It premiered on Fox in 2009 and ran for six seasons, ending in 2015. Its storylines addressed subjects including sexuality, race, disability and mental health, while its covers of songs such as “Don’t Stop Believin’” introduced older hits to younger audiences. [1]
Murphy recently told *Entertainment Tonight* he had been in touch with about 10 cast members, who had questions but were enthusiastic about the idea. Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, has said she would be happy to return. Chris Colfer, meanwhile, said a revival would be difficult after the death of Naya Rivera, who played Santana Lopez. [1]
Rivera died in 2020, aged 33. She was the third *Glee* cast member to die: Cory Monteith died in 2013 and Mark Salling in 2018. [1]
