The UN Security Council was scheduled to hold its semi-annual debate on Bosnia and Herzegovina on 30 October and vote on renewing the authorisation for the European Union-led EUFOR-Althea stabilisation force for another year, according to a UN meeting notice.
The notice said Denis Bećirović, a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency, was expected to take part, alongside representatives of Croatia and Serbia. They could participate under a Council rule that allows non-members to speak but not vote. The European Union was also expected to take part.
The UN notice is labelled “For information media. Not an official record”. It does not confirm whether the meeting took place or give the vote’s outcome.
