Four books about Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking have received the Dutch Gouden Boek designation, with more than 75,000 copies sold of each title.

The Dutch news site Nieuws.nl reported the awards on Sunday, during the first weekend of Children’s Book Week. It cited the book-sector organisation CPNB as saying that each book had sold more than 75,000 copies. [1]
The four are *Pippi Langkous*, *Pippi Langkous gaat aan boord*, *Pippi Langkous in Taka-Tukaland* and a *Pippi Langkous* omnibus. [1]
Emile Op de Coul of publisher Ploegsma said the stories continued to appeal to generations of readers. He said Ploegsma had published Lindgren’s books in the Netherlands since 1964. [1]
