Fortuna Sittard and Telstar drew 2-2 in the Eredivisie on Saturday, with all four goals coming before half-time. The point left Fortuna sixth on 20 points, while Telstar had 10 from 12 matches and sat 16th.
Fortuna took the lead from the penalty spot after Gabi Caschili fouled Jasper Dahlhaus. Mohamed Ihattaren converted, and an own goal by Telstar’s Sem Valk in the 43rd minute made it 2-0.
Telstar hit back before the break. Abdelnour Soualhia headed in from a Patrick Brouwer free-kick, then Brouwer levelled after Caschili’s long throw was flicked on.
Both sides had chances to win after the interval, but goalkeepers Ronald Koeman and Mattijs Branderhorst helped keep the score level.
