Four people have died following West Nile virus infection since the Dutch public health institute RIVM’s previous update on 24 September, the ANP news agency reported on 1 October, citing RIVM. [1]
RIVM registered 12 new infections, bringing the number reported in the Netherlands to 56. ANP said all the infected patients had acquired the virus through bites from infected mosquitoes. [1]
