Schiphol told passengers on 21 October to use its website for current flight information after precautionary measures linked to a PHP vulnerability left the app without live flight details.

Schiphol advised passengers on 21 October to check flight information on its website rather than in its app, after taking precautionary measures in response to a digital threat linked to a vulnerability in PHP, a widely used programming language.
The airport said its website remained available, but current flight details were not showing in the app. Previously saved flights could still appear, though their information might be out of date. Schiphol urged travellers flying to, from or via the airport that day to use schiphol.nl for updates.
A Schiphol spokesperson said the airport was monitoring developments and would not discuss the layout of its systems or specific security measures. The airport’s notice does not establish whether the app’s service has since been restored.
