Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema wrote to American rapper Ye in June saying she would rather have kept him out of the city, ANP reported on 29 September after seeing her letter. She urged him to treat Amsterdammers, particularly Jewish residents, with respect. [1]
Halsema condemned what she described as Ye’s repeated antisemitic, pro-Nazi and hateful remarks in previous years. [1]
