The Dutch campaign’s first case concerns one motorhome, but its organisers are seeking compensation and repairs for owners they say have been affected by unlawful emissions controls.

Dutch foundation Stichting Car Claim says it has brought the first lawsuit in its Camper Claim campaign against Stellantis. The action concerns one motorhome and is backed by consumer organisations Consumentenbond and ConsumentenClaim, as well as the Dutch motorhome association NKC. The foundation says more cases will follow. [1]
The campaign alleges that motorhomes with Fiat Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel engines use timers, altitude-dependent controls and temperature settings that reduce exhaust cleaning during normal driving. It is seeking compensation and repairs for vehicles their owners still hold, without impairing how they work. Consumentenbond estimates that tens of thousands of motorhomes in the Netherlands could be affected. [1] [9]
Earlier evidence does not point to the same emissions performance across all Fiat motorhomes. A German court found a timer-based emissions control in a different Euro 5 motorhome in 2025. Separately, German environmental group DUH reported high road emissions from one Euro 6 Fiat Ducato camper, while its tests of a newer Euro 6d-temp Ducato averaged below the benchmark used in its report. Consumentenbond says Stellantis has declined talks about compensation. The court, case number and hearing date for the new action have not been announced. [1]
