Ricardo Pepi has returned to training with PSV but may not be ready for Saturday’s Eredivisie match against Willem II, coach Peter Bosz said. A session on Friday will determine whether the 23-year-old striker can make his comeback.
Pepi has not played since injuring himself in PSV’s league match against FC Twente at the end of September. “He’s training with us again and isn’t holding back,” Bosz said. “We’ll have to see whether he can play. We’re training shortly.”
PSV will also be without summer signing Sami Ouaissa for the coming months, Bosz said. The 22-year-old forward joined from NEC while carrying an injury and has yet to play for PSV. Bosz said Ouaissa had suffered a new injury, calling it “a huge blow, especially for him”.
PSV host Willem II at the Philips Stadion on Saturday, with kick-off at 18:45.
