Ping Ping and Fu Shuang have left Chengdu for the United States, with a ten-year stay planned at Zoo Atlanta.

China sent Ping Ping and Fu Shuang from Chengdu towards Atlanta on Sunday 27 September, ANP/AFP reported. The two giant pandas are due to spend the next ten years at Zoo Atlanta, which previously housed pandas from 1999 to 2024. [1]
American keepers are accompanying the pair on the flight, which is expected to take about 15 hours. Ping Ping is a six-year-old male; Fu Shuang is a female due to turn six next month. [1]
Zoo Atlanta has renovated its panda enclosures for the pair and arranged a long-term supply of locally grown bamboo. [1]
