Georgia have replaced head coach Willy Sagnol with Ramaz Svanadze following a home defeat to Northern Ireland in the Nations League. [1]

The Georgian football federation announced the change on its website, Dutch news agency ANP reported. Svanadze had been in charge of Georgia’s under-21 side. Georgia lost 1-0 at home to Northern Ireland on Friday in their opening Nations League match. [1]
Sagnol had coached Georgia since February 2021. He led the team to their first European Championship appearance and the last 16 at Euro 2024 in Germany, but did not take them to a World Cup. [1]
