Arsenal and Declan Rice are nearing a new long-term contract, according to BBC Sport, but the deal has not yet been agreed.
Review information is loading.
Declan Rice is close to agreeing a new long-term contract with Arsenal, BBC Sport reports, citing sources. The England midfielder’s current deal expires at the end of next season. Talks that BBC Sport reported were under way in March are now at an advanced stage, but an agreement has not yet been reported. [1]
BBC Sport says a new deal would bring a substantial rise from Rice’s reported £240,000-a-week salary, putting him level with Bukayo Saka, who is believed to earn about £350,000 a week. Those are not confirmed terms for Rice’s next contract. [1]
Rice, 27, joined Arsenal from West Ham for £105m in July 2023 and has made more than 150 starts for the club. The length and final salary of any new deal remain unknown. [1]
