The Dutch government reported about 770 people in its asylum inflow measure for week 43, including 520 first applications. The provisional total also covers repeat applications, resettlement, relocation and family members joining relatives in the Netherlands.
The government’s breakdown lists 220 arriving family members, excluding a category labelled “8EVRM”, and 40 other cases, comprising repeat applications, resettlement and relocation. The notice does not define “8EVRM”.
The figure is rounded to the nearest ten and is provisional; the government says it may differ marginally. It says definitive asylum figures and trends are published monthly by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
The reported total was lower than the approximately 840 for week 42. The government’s week 42 figure was also provisional and included the same broad categories.
