Paris Saint-Germain moved top of Ligue 1 for the first time this season with a 2-0 home win over Lyon on Monday, as Mika Godts scored his first goal for the club after setting up the opener.
Substitute Senny Mayulu put PSG ahead in the second half, finishing Godts’s pass at the near post. Godts then scored himself, shooting into the far corner on a counter-attack.
PSG have 17 points from eight matches, one ahead of Rennes. Lyon remain on 14 points and have dropped to fifth.
The fixture was moved from Sunday because of announced demonstrations in Paris. The rescheduling meant several Ballon d’Or nominees could not attend Monday’s awards ceremony. PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé, last year’s winner, was at the ceremony in London but missed the match through injury.
The match had previously been postponed amid protests in Paris.
