The World Meteorological Organization announced the winners of its 2027 calendar photo competition on 1 October 2026. Photographers were invited to respond to the theme ‘Your Weather, Your World’, exploring how weather, climate and water shape lives and landscapes. [1]
The WMO says the winning photographs feature dust storms in Kenya and the United States, lightning over cities and baobab trees at sunset in Madagascar. [1]
The WMO also highlights photographs showing the effects of extreme heat and weather on lives and livelihoods in Antarctica, Myanmar and Norway. [1]
