Minnesota beat Indianapolis 16-10 to move to 6-0 after the Chiefs and 49ers suffered their first defeats of the season.
Review information is loading.
The Minnesota Vikings are the NFL’s last unbeaten team after the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers both lost in week seven. Minnesota improved to 6-0 with a 16-10 home win over the Indianapolis Colts, extending a run that has made them an unexpected early-season frontrunner.
Kansas City, now 5-1, were beaten 20-3 by the Seattle Seahawks, who limited running back Kenneth Walker to 36 yards on 14 carries. Seattle improved to 4-3. The 49ers fell 29-20 to Atlanta after the Falcons forced four turnovers, including two interceptions by quarterback Brock Purdy; San Francisco are 6-1.
Minnesota’s defence has been among the league’s best, while kicker Will Reichard has yet to miss a kick, according to BBC Sport. The Vikings have won 11 straight games including the end of last season, and face a divisional test against the Detroit Lions next week. Detroit beat Green Bay 20-17 with a field goal as time expired.
The results leave Minnesota alone among the unbeaten teams heading into week eight. The Vikings had been 4-0 after week four, alongside the Chiefs and 49ers, in an earlier NFL round-up.
