Queen Máxima will attend a gathering at Museon-Omniversum in The Hague on 28 October to mark the tenth anniversary of Schuldenlab070, Nieuws.nl reports. The initiative laid the foundations in 2016 for Stichting Financieel Gezond Nederland, of which Máxima is honorary chairwoman. [1]
Máxima visited the Jongeren Perspectief Fonds, one of Schuldenlab070’s debt-support programmes, in 2018. The report says the approach impressed her and that SchuldenlabNL was subsequently established, with her involvement, to expand this and other methods nationally.
SchuldenlabNL and the National Coalition for Financial Health merged in 2025 to form Stichting Financieel Gezond Nederland. The public-private partnership aims to halve the number of financially vulnerable and financially unhealthy households in the Netherlands by 2030, according to the report.
